The other day I decided to look for a more comfortable bike for her, so she could still ride along with the rest of the family. I was looking everywhere, but all the prices were just too high. Finally i found this great Triton Pro Ultimate 3-wheel bike at Target. It was the perfect price and size. She loves how easy it is to ride, but still receives a workout.

If my bike commute to work is any sort of litmus test for trends, then the vintage moped is making a comeback.  I’ve been seeing them all over the streets of Manhattan and Brooklyn lately.  Don’t get them confused with those girly Vespas, I’m talking funky, sporty, less curvaceous, macho machines.  So, I found this awesome book Funky Mopeds: The 1970s Sports Moped Phenomenon to help get me up to…speed…on what’s fast becoming the coolest mode of transport.

I also discovered the sweet Shibuya shoe based on Japanese street moped style that brings this new moped culture into the 21st century.  Both make great gifts for the extreme dude or hipster who dreams about riding or actually rides around in style on a vintage moped.
