For my little sisters b
irthday, she wanted a car. However she’s only 10 years old, so that wouldn’t work! I had the great idea of getting her something else that could drive. I looked at four-wheelers and dirt bikes, but they were all out of my price range. Finally I found this great go kart at Target. It was the perfect price and the perfect gift all together for my little sister. She loves it!

My grandmother h
as always loved bike riding, however, now it’s just too hard for her to ride a regular bike. The other day I decided to look for a more comfortable bike for her, so she could still ride along with the rest of the family. I was looking everywhere, but all the prices were just too high. Finally i found this great Triton Pro Ultimate 3-wheel bike at Target. It was the perfect price and size. She loves how easy it is to ride, but still receives a workout.

Just this past year my gran
dpa was diagnosed with lung cancer. He went through many hours of chemotherapy and radiation to shrink the cancer and buy him more time with his family. The doctor told him to do what he can, so we all decided fishing on the river would be perfect. We’ve been looking for a good real for him and finally found this one at gander mountain. The casting is great and the weight is perfect. Works great!

My boyfriend just recently
healed from an injury from motocross. He really wanted to start back up, but since he’s been out for so long hardly any of his gear fits, and most of it’s really torn up from the accident, one including his old helmet. He’s been looking for a new helmet for the longest time, but couldn’t find one that suits his needs. Finally he found the Fox and Rockstar collaboration helmet. It has vent channels in the shell that pull out moisture and heat, an integrated roost guard that helps shield your face, an innovative cheek pad ventilation channels keep cheeks cooler and dry out quicker, injection molded polycarbonate shell design provides style and function, and most of all meets SNELL 2005 and DOT standards.

If my bike commute to work is any sort of litmus test for trends, then the vintage moped is making a comeback. I’ve been seeing them all over the streets of Manhattan and Brooklyn lately. Don’t get them confused with those girly Vespas, I’m talking funky, sporty, less curvaceous, macho machines. So, I found this awesome book Funky Mopeds: The 1970s Sports Moped Phenomenon to help get me up to…speed…on what’s fast becoming the coolest mode of transport.
I also discovered the sweet Shibuya shoe based on Japanese street moped style that brings this new moped culture into the 21st century. Both make great gifts for the extreme dude or hipster who dreams about riding or actually rides around in style on a vintage moped.
Funky Mopeds: The 1970′s Sports Moped Phenomenon starting at $25.60
