Before we know it, the cold, snowy, Minnesota winter is creeping around the corner. Many kids and adults complain that winter can often get boring. For my little sisters birthday, she wanted a car. However she’s only 10 years old, so that wouldn’t work! I had the great idea of getting her something else that could drive. I looked at four-wheelers and dirt bikes, but they were all out of my price range. Finally I found this great go kart at Target. It was the perfect price and the perfect gift all together for my little sister. She loves it!

Comfortable Ride

My grandmother has always loved bike riding, however, now it’s just too hard for her to ride a regular bike. The other day I decided to look for a more comfortable bike for her, so she could still ride along with the rest of the family. I was looking everywhere, but all the prices were just too high. Finally i found this great Triton Pro Ultimate 3-wheel bike at Target. It was the perfect price and size. She loves how easy it is to ride, but still receives a workout.

Snowboarding With Music

For many years I’ve been trying out different headphones for snowboarding and skiing. Most of the headphones I wore I didn’t like because they would fall off in the middle of my run, which was a pain. Finally I found these from Zumies! Now riding is a breeze and I have no worries of my headphones falling off. These have great 90-degree swivel DJ-style speakers, fold-up headband for ultra portability, 3.5mm gold plated plug, 1.2M cable length, and are iPhone and iPod compatible. LOVE THEM!

fishing with grandpa

Just this past year my grandpa was diagnosed with lung cancer. He went through many hours of chemotherapy and radiation to shrink the cancer and buy him more time with his family. The doctor told him to do what he can, so we all decided fishing on the river would be perfect. We’ve been looking for a good real for him and finally found this one at gander mountain. The casting is great and the weight is perfect. Works great!

Honda’s are red, Yamaha’s are blue, you musta’ been haulin ’cause i flew past you!

My boyfriend just recently healed from an injury from motocross. If my bike commute to work is any sort of litmus test for trends, then the vintage moped is making a comeback. I’ve been seeing them all over the streets of Manhattan and Brooklyn lately. Don’t get them confused with those girly Vespas, I’m talking funky, sporty, less curvaceous, macho machines. So, I found this awesome book Funky Mopeds: The 1970s Sports Moped Phenomenon to help get me up to…speed…on what’s fast becoming the coolest mode of transport.
